Charles C. Haynes, Jr., 66, of Frankfort, passed away Monday, October 7, 2024, at Clinton House Rehabilitation. He was born in Sommerset, Kentucky on March 18, 1958, to Charles and Lucy Jane (Smith) Haynes.
Charles was a 1977 graduate of Frankfort Senior High School. He worked for in delivery for the Frankfort Times and the Lafayette Journal and Courier for over 20 years between the two. He loved watching college sports, especially the Kentucky Wildcats. He was a quiet man and enjoyed the simple life. He loved his family, especially his children and grandchildren.
Charles is survived by his children, Chris Haynes and Brandon Haynes; sisters, Kathy Birden, Brenda (J. Max) Bryan, and Sherlene Taylor; and two grandchildren, Alexis and Trey.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law; Charles “Butch” Birden.
There are no services planned per Charles’ wishes. Day & Genda Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements. Messages of condolence may be left at www.dayandgenda.com.
