Surviving family include his wife of 53 years, Elizabeth; daughters, Ruthann (Rowland) Rivero and Heather Helwig; grandson, Raylan Rivero; granddaughter, Autumn Grimsley; siblings, Sharon Perkins, Gloria Saunders, Marcia Dice and Daryl Helwig.
Cremation has taken place and private interment will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
