On October 7th, 2025, our Beloved Charles Ray Hensley, age 60, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, surrounded by his loving family. Charles was born on August 5th, 1965, in Nashville Tennessee, to the late William Hensley and the late Sarah Hamm Hensley. He loved the Lord with all his heart and found joy drawing closer to him. Some of his greatest blessings in life were his wife, Whitney, with whom he shared six beautiful years of marriage, and all of his children.
He was truly one of a kind-an artist with his hands, a skilled carpenter, and an outdoorsman who found joy in fishing, camping, and just being in God’s creation. He always said, “If you take care of your tools, your tools will take care of you.” More than anything, Charles loved being with his family. He was a devoted husband, a proud dad, a caring grandpa, a brother, and a friend to so many.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Whitney Griswold Hensley, and his Children: Claire Hensley, Carly Hensley, Ryleigh (Orrin) Delk, Benjamin Hensley, Samual Hensley, Trystan Storm, and Hunter Storm, along with his grandchildren Theodore Hensley, Copper Delk, and Adaline Delk. His brothers, Jimmy Jackson, John Hensley, Duayne Hensley, sisters, Lelia (Scott) Morton, Teresa Cantrell, Sandy Birge, Gail Hazekamp, Elaine Fichel, Teri Burkartzmeyer, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends who loved him deeply.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, William Hensley, and Billy Hensley, along with his sister in law, Patty Jackson, and brother in law Cecil Birge.
Charles will be remembered for his faith, hard work, and the love he poured into everyone around him. While we mourn his passing, we rejoice knowing he is at peace in the arms of Jesus.
