Charles E. Knight, aged 84, of Branford, FL, passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. Born on February 20, 1941, in Lafayette County, FL, Charles was a lifelong resident of Branford. He was a proud veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served in the Army. Charles was of Baptist faith and worked as a dredge operator for most of his career in Ohio. He was also a Class A CDL operator.

Charles had a deep love for animals, especially his cows, which he considered pets. He enjoyed all kinds of hunting and fishing. Despite facing tremendous medical battles over the last 30 years, he always maintained a positive attitude.

He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-one years, Bernie Byrd Knight, and his daughter, Karla Knight Jones, along with her husband Dustin. He is also survived by his sisters, Ellen Sever, Sharon Lee and her husband Johnnie, Patsy Lamb, Alice Lamb, and Darnell Gainey and her husband Ray, as well as his brother, Albert Knight and his wife Jackie. Charles was a proud grandfather to Bayley Jones and her husband Dallas, Austin Jones, Sadie Jones, and Mason Jones, and a great-grandfather to Liam, affectionately known as 'Papa's Huckleberry'. He leaves behind many extended family members and friends.

Charles was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Dale Tiner, and his brothers, Earl Knight and Jeffery 'Buddy' Lamb.

A visitation will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, August 25th at Daniels Memorial Chapel in Branford, followed by a service at 11:00 am. Interment will take place at Maypop Cemetery.
