Charles E. Lichty

Charles Edward Lichty, 69, entered into rest on October 16, 2023, at his home. He was the husband and best friend of Julie (Stottlemyer) Lichty for 33 years.
Charlie was born on October 23, 1953 in Columbia, PA, and was the son of the late Isaiah E. and Anna R. (Hartman) Lichty.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his beloved daughter, Katie Giannelli of Camp Hill, her husband, Sam, and granddaughters, Lena and Ava, who brought their "Grand" so much joy. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Tyann Lichty and Cheryl Ludwig.
Charlie was a graduate of Hempfield High School and York College of PA. He had a successful first career in sales management, the majority of which was spent with WITF, Inc., Harrisburg. At age 53 he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Master's Degree from Lancaster Bible College, and enjoyed a deeply rewarding second career counseling individuals and couples in private practice.
Charlie was an avid reader and a lifelong Phillies fan. He loved hanging out with and caring for horses, playing guitar, learning about astronomy, and exploring new places. He most definitely enjoyed a good Tanqueray and tonic, a well-made suit, and anything involving chocolate and peanut butter. He will forever be remembered for his quick wit, generous heart, playful nature, and creative spirit.

The funeral services will be held privately under the direction of Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., of East York.
