Charles Wayne McGahee, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 16th, 2025, at the age of 69 at Wellstar MCG Healthcare Center in Augusta, GA.
Born on October 27th, 1955, in Aiken, South Carolina, Charles led a life filled with love, family, and dedication.
Charles was a devoted father and grandfather, cherishing the time spent with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his loving son, Chad G. McGahee of Aiken, SC; two daughters and a son-in-law, Ashley R. McGahee of Statesboro, GA, and Kirbi N. (Aaron) Ratner of Newington, GA. His legacy lives on through his grandchildren, Kaleb McGahee, Jaden McGahee, Zane McGahee, Brewton Ratner, Kinley Ratner, and Ambree Ratner. He is also survived by his brother & sister-in-law, Guy & Teresa McGahee, of Aiken, SC.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas M. McGahee and Mary Hadden McGahee, who were lifelong pillars of support and inspiration in his life.
Charles retired from Aiken Pest Control. He was known for his commitment to his work and his never-ending curiosity. His passion extended beyond his career, as he was an enthusiastic supporter of the South Carolina Gamecocks and cherished every moment spent with his children and grandchildren. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.
A memorial service celebrating Charles's life will be held on Saturday, March 22nd, 2025, at 12:00pm in The Historic George Funeral Home Downtown Chapel in Aiken, SC. officiated by Randy Berryhill. Prior to the memorial service, there will be a visitation at The Historic George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave SW, Aiken, SC 29801 (803) 649-6234 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Charles will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His kind spirit, dedication, and love for his family will forever be remembered and cherished.
