Charles "Charlie" Mode

Charles Mode, known to most as Charlie was born in Louisville, KY. He has two brothers, Steve Mode (passed), Jerry Mode (Kathy), and one sister, Sue Maddon. They were raised by their grandmother, Grace House in Caneyville, KY. For 32 years he worked for John T. McGinnis (Hardees). He did everything from AC/Heat to plumbing and concrete work. His love story began with his first date with Lisa Phillips in February of 1992. Christmas of 1997, he proposed, and they were married in April of 1998. When he married Lisa, he was blessed with a mother-in-law, Linda Sallee; two children, Robert Allen Phillips, Jr. (Vicki), and April Phillips (Passed); grandchildren, Tisha K. Phillips, Robert A. Phillips III, and Emily Phillips; and 6 great grandchildren, Jaimeson, Jasper, Jaeyden, Gracie, Phoebe (Passed), and JoAnna, they called him "Ducky". Charlie has requested cremation and his ashes be spread over the water at their favorite fishing spot. He loved his Lord, wife, family, fishing, woodworking, and UK Basketball. He wants you all to know, he had a wonderful life, and hopes to see you in heaven someday.
