He was an avid reader who found solace in the pages of historical novels and classic films, especially those from the '30's and '40's. His enthusiasm for history led him to earn a BA degree from Arkansas Tech and a MA degree from the University of Arkansas.
Chuck resided at Hearthstone Village in Woodstock, IL where he acquired many friendships and enjoyed participating in their many activities.
He was a devoted brother to Bill, who will miss their long conversations about history movies, and life. As we remember Charles, we will celebrate a life well lived.
Chuck is survived by his brothers Bill (Jan) Rector of Spring Grove, IL; Craig Rector of Cuba City, WI; nephew Aaron Rector, Antioch IL; his niece Sasha (Chris) Doering, Kyan and Braya Doering Waunakee, WI.
He was preceded in death by his parents William and Maude Rector.
Interment will take place at Fayetteville National Cemetery in Fayetteville, AR beside his parents at a later date. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Charles, please visit our floral store.
