Charles Otis Williams was born on July 9, 1939 in Newport News, Virginia and
departed on November 8, 2022.
In 1947 Charles and his family moved to New York City where he continued his education and graduated from high school in Harlem, NY. He began his
career with the United States Postal Service and ended his career as a correctional officer captain at Rikers Island Correctional Facility. While living in New York, Charles loved to attend the Church of Christ of Far Rockaway and
while retired in Suffolk, Virginia, one of Charles' most treasured hobbies was baking and making sweet treats for family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Victoria Elizabeth Williams; brother, Earl Leon Williams; sister, Victoria Virginia Williams.
He leaves to cherish his memory, devoted wife, Everlean Williams; son, Craig Williams; daughters, Stacey and Danielle Williams; daughter-in-law, Doris Davis; son-in-law, Anthony (Willette) Davis; grandchildren, Christopher Williams, Dorien Williams, Jordon Jones, Lawrence Davis, Muniyra Moore, Shamera Davis, Kenyah, Aniya and Antwanette Davis; great-grandchildren, Katrina, Adriah,
Imani, Milani, Kyndal and Kash; a special niece, Valerie Stewart and an extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
