Charles Lindburg Wright, 93, resident of Golden Crest and previously of Westminster, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at BridgingLife Dove House.
Born October 21, 1931, in Malvern, AR, he was the son of the late John L. and Aneda Pearl (Duffey) Wright. He was the cherished husband of the late Marlene Alice Wright, his wife of 67 years.
Charles was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He spent most of his working career as an auto mechanic and later doing real estate. He attended Friendship Baptist Church in Sykesville. Charles found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially going out to eat with his family and friends.
Surviving Charles are his daughters Shirley Stahl and husband David of Manchester and Brenda Lancelotta and husband Frank of Sykesville; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and sisters Cynthia Sealy of FL and Robin Williams and husband Charles of SC.
In addition to his parents and wife, Charles was preceded in death by his sisters Betty Lamb and Diane Keller.
The family will welcome friends on Monday, June 9, 2025, from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster, MD. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at 11am at Friendship Baptist Church, 1391 Sykesville Road, Sykesville. Interment with military honors will follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Marriottsville.
Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to BridgingLife Hospice Dove House, 292 Stoner Ave, Westminster, MD 21157.
