Charlie Burdsall, born on July 7, 1955, in Indianapolis, Indiana, was a loving soul who warmed the hearts of everyone he encountered. Sadly, he passed away on June 12, 2024, at his home in Lake Tapps, Washington. His life, marked by a love for his family and a devotion to his Christian faith, left an indelible mark on all who were lucky enough to know him. He possessed a captivating spirit that combined his love for life's simplest pleasures with a tireless dedication to his loved ones and his community.
Charlie, who spent a significant part of his life in Indianapolis, Indiana, Greenwood, Indiana, March Air Force Base, California, and Bonney Lake, Washington, found his home in Lake Tapps, Washington, where he lived for the past four years. With a career as a parts manager in the automotive industry, Charlie was known for his integrity and commitment to excellence. His passion extended beyond his work to his love for cooking, baking, landscaping, camping, watching NASCAR races, and the Indy 500. Charlie loved to play golf too, whenever he could find the time to do so. His dedication to the Masonic Crescent Lodge in Enumclaw and the Puyallup Evangelical Free Church only further underscored his commitment to service and fellowship.
Charlie's love for his family was the most defining aspect of his life. He is survived by his loving wife, Janice Burdsall, his brothers Estel Jeffers (Linda) and Donald Burdsall (Peggy), his sons Bill Copeland, Greg Copeland (Vonda), Joshua Pedersen (Alyssa), and Christian Pedersen (Christie), and his daughter Heather Dinius (Corey). He is also survived by his granddaughters, Faith, Ava, Lyla, Avery, Jessica, Lynsie, and Alisha, and grandsons, Isaak, Ian, Kellen and Xander. He is preceded in death by his father, Paul Burdsall, mother, Elma Jeffers, and sister, Faye Egoff (Greg). As we remember Charlie, let us be encouraged by the words of the apostle Paul in 2 Timothy 4:7, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."
A Military Honors Service will be held for Charlie on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at 10:30am PDT at Tahoma National Cemetery, 18600 Southeast 240th Street, Kent, Washington, 98042.
