Charlie E. Nutt, age 85, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2025. Born on June 10, 1940, Charlie loved his family deeply and lived life with a quiet strength and a craftsman’s hands.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Irene and William Nutt; five brothers; and one sister.
Charlie is survived by his son, Chuck Nutt; his daughter, Cecelia Wilson; son-in-law, Jeff Wilson; his brother, Harold Nutt; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family who will cherish his memory.
Charlie had a lifelong passion for the outdoors. He found joy in fishing, deer hunting, and building things with his hands, especially through woodworking and carpentry. He was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldogs, never missing a chance to cheer them on.
He will be remembered for his steady presence, his love for his family, and the many things he built—both with wood and with heart.
A Memorial Service for Mr. Nutt will be held Saturday, July 26, 2025, 2:00 P.M., at Victorious Life Church, 5148 Newton Drive Ne. Covington Ga. 30014. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service at the church.
