Flossie Nutt Obituary

She married her beloved husband, Orville B. Nutt, on her 23rd birthday in 1956. He preceded her in death on January 2, 2012. Together, they created a family legacy that would be her pride and joy.
For 27 years, Flossie served with dedication at the Port Huron Area School District, where her friendly demeanor and kind-heartedness touched the lives of many. Her commitment to service extended beyond her professional life as she was an active member of the Washington Avenue/Gratiot Park Methodist Church. Her involvement in the church community was a testament to her faith and her desire to contribute to the world around her.
Flossie is survived by her daughters, Linda (Ed) Cook and Carolyn (Michael) Eldridge; grandchildren, Heather Hosey, Cody Eldridge, Joshua (Tiffany) Cook, Trevor Eldridge, Cheyenne Coleman, and Natalie Lotz; great-grandchildren, Payton, Avery, Mackenzie, Leila, Ella, Daisy, Reed, and Ezekiel; her special nephew, Don Beam and his daughters, Ashley and Amanda; and her very special close friend, Kaytee Rich.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville; daughter, Mindy Lou; brothers, William, Cletus, and Herbert Beam; and cousins, Orville Stark, Carroll Stark, and Glenn Baker; and in-laws, Ron (Jean) McClellan and Pat Beam.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Gratiot Park Methodist Church, 811 Church Street, Port Huron, Michigan 48060, with visiting starting at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Eric Miller and Pastor Scott Stapleford will officiate. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery in Port Huron officiated by Joshua Cook.
Memorials are suggested to Gratiot Park Methodist Church or North Street Baptist Church or to the Blue Water Hospice Home.
