Born March 14, 1939 in Ruleville, MS, a son to Charlie Sr. and Annie (Toy) Turner. Charlie was a member of the Local Laborers Union and worked in maintenance for PHA Housing. He was a member of AGAPE Church on Griswald.
Survivors include 18 children: Michael (Christine) Massey of Memphis, Steve (Angela) Turner, SR. of Peoria, Vernon Turner of Peoria, Kevin (Raquel) Turner of Chicago, Marvin (Penny) Anderson of Chicago, Carol Turner of Chicago, Christopher Turner of Baltimore, Regina (Ishmail) Donelson of Memphis, LaShon (Sheane) Rutherford of Mesa, AZ, Zenobia (Dannie) Neal of Peoria, Finis Woolfolk of Peoria, DeAngelo Parker of Peoria, Satonius Parker of Iowa, Camille Parker of Peoria, Apreley Randle of Peoria, Twiletta Turner of Peoria, Shondala Sanders of California and Sade Turner of Texas; one brother Willie (Debbie) Brown of Peoria; one sister Bernice Williams of Peoria; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins and friends; as well as his loving companion Doll Turner.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, one son Don Anderson, and one grandson LaDon Turner.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A visitation will be from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Wright & Salmon Mortuary, with family and friends speaking at 1:00 PM.
Preferred memorials in Charlie's memory may be made to the American Lung Association.
Friends and family may sign the online guestbook, submit photos and share Charlie's memorial page via social media.
Cremation services have been made under the direction and care of Wright & Salmon Mortuary. (309-688-4441)

was one of my best young men and great guy during my 9 years as Principal at Lincoln School in Peoria!
