Charlie White, age 68, of Forest City, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.
Charlie was born Tuesday, March 30, 1954 in Rutherford County to the late Charles Richard White, Sr. and Ruth Jonas White. He was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1972. Charlie was served honorably in the U.S. Army and was veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked many years for the NCDOC as a Correctional Officer and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Charlie was an avid fisherman and enjoyed going on family camping trips. He was a loving son, husband and father. Charlie was a man of faith and Christian character and lived out the personal values of honesty, hard work and treating others fairly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of forty-four years, Brenda Elizabeth Graham White.
Left to cherish fond memories are his daughter, Jessica Cargile (Preston) of Durham, NC; grandson, Logan Cargile; sisters, Monea Hines (Steve) and Marcia Graham all of Boiling Springs, SC; mother-in-law, Laura Lancaster of Henrietta and sister-in-law, Janett Jones of Forest City.
A celebration of life service will be held on a later date.
