Charlotte M. (Broomell) Powers, 92, of Ward Township and formerly of Nottingham, PA, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre. Born on October 3, 1932, in Nottingham, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Florence (Conoly) Broomell.
A proud graduate of Oxford High School's Class of 1950, Charlotte spent several years working at Nottingham Cannery. She was a dedicated member of the Fremont Methodist Church in her earlier years.
Charlotte had a lifelong love for the outdoors, enjoying swimming and hiking in her youth. As the years passed, she found joy in reading and solving puzzles. Her faith remained a cornerstone of her life, and attending church was always important to her.
Charlotte leaves behind her daughter; Leah (Troy) Shatley, grandchildren; Jeremy Shatley, Matthew Powers and Crystal Davis, great grandchildren; Benjamin, Cheridyn, Christian, Cassidy and Paula as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents, Charlotte was predeceased by her husband of 54 years; Buddie L. Powers, children; Arnold and Nathan Powers, grandchildren; Kenny Powers and Shannon Jones as well as several siblings.
In keeping with the families wishes services will be private and held at their convenience. Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Drive in Canton is assisting the family with arrangements.
