EUNICE-It is with heavy hearts the family of Charlotte E. Stutes announces her passing on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, in Henderson, Nevada. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Burial will follow in the St. Paul Mausoleum with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating.
Charlotte worked at Powell Oil Co for 20 years as secretary and treasurer and as owner of Louisiana Fuel Oil Services for 5 years. After retiring from the oil business, she and her husband Paul started and owned the Taco Bell franchise in Eunice for 5 years. She loved LSU football, traveling and playing card games. Her favorite hobby was to follow and watch her grandsons play sports through the years.
Charlotte's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, especially her husband, Paul Stutes; her son, Chris Stutes and wife, Suzanne; her daughter, Stephanie Stutes Brown and husband, Clayton; grandchildren, Michael Stutes and Matthew Stutes; six great grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas E. Powell and Venita Young Powell.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Thursday, July 11, 2024, from 10:00 AM until time of service.
The Stutes family has entrusted Charlotte’s arrangements to Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice. Family and friends may leave condolences for the family at www.ardoinfuneralhomes.com.
