Charlotte A. Tinney Tyler, 85, of McDonald, Midway Borough, Pennyslvania, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025 in her home. Charlotte was born on October 3, 1939 in River View, Alabama, a daughter of the late Walter and Frances Hamil Tinney.
Mrs. Tyler was a retired shipping clerk working at WestPoint Stevens. Charlotte enjoyed many of life's
simple things like reading and watching the birds from her window. She also was an avid puzzle builder with an eye for detail, she could find a four-leaf clover in the middle of a field, just walking through it. She was excellent at crocheting and sewing and she always loved to cook and bake for her loved ones. Charlotte also enjoyed sitting down in her chair and watching TV, listening to music or turning on her scanner to find out what was happening around town.
Charlotte and her late husband, Jack, shared a love story that was storybook worthy. The two met while Jack was still in the service at a dance one night. That night was the beginning of their great love. Charlotte and Jack raised their daughter together and eventually became devoted grandparents to their grandson, Joshua. They loved their life together and their reunion was surely joyous.
Surviving her is her daughter, Kimberley Tyler, grandson Joshua Tyler, a niece Tia Gonzales, and two nephews, Tony and Jonathan Brannon. Along with her parents, Charlotte is preceded in death by her loving husband, John (Jack) George Tyler and siblings, Shirlene Cox and Nita Faye Brannon.
All arrangements are private and entrusted to Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc., 106 St. John St.,
Midway (724-796-3301).
