Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - East Louisville ChapelCheryl McKnight Biven, age 80 of Louisville, Kentucky passed away peacefully on Friday, August 29, 2025 at Lyndon Crossing Nursing Home. Cheryl grew up in Louisville's West End in the 50s, attending Our Lady School and graduated from Presentation Academy, Class of 1963. She attended Spencerian College, now known as Sullivan University. She was employed at the University of Louisville Department of Pediatrics for 10 years and later joined the office staff of Dr. Forrest Kuhn, Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, retiring after 30 wonderful years.
As the spouse of a deacon at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Cheryl was also entrusted with certain duties, which she performed with dignity and grace. The Biven's parish membership encompassed their whole life.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Lawrence (Larry) Biven; and her daughter, Amy Biven.
Cheryl is survived by her loving daughter, Elizabeth Biven; granddaughter, Rita Beatrice Biven; sisters, Lynne McKnight and Michelle Clements (Paul); and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of Mass at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 1960 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky. Burial will be private.
Expressions of sympathy may be directed to St. Francis of Assisi School, 1938 Alfresco Place, Louisville, Kentucky 40205 or the Alzheimer's Association, 101 BUllitt Lane #208, Louisville, Kentucky 40222.
