Cheryl Bowers, 70, of Topeka passed away on November 6, 2024 at the Rolling Hills Heath Care Center in Topeka. Cheryl was born November 22, 1953 in Holton, Kansas. She lived in Topeka most of her life. She was a very good cook, liked to listen to music, and enjoyed going to the Prairie Band Casino. Her favorite holiday was Thanksgiving.
She is survived by her son Michael Turner, Sr. and his wife La’Shonnia of Topeka; grandchildren, Michael Turner, Jr. and Ann’abelle Turner both of Topeka; sisters, Carol DeLong in Texas and Ethel Mock of Topeka; brother, J.C. Hards of Olathe, and her step-mother, Lorraine Hards of Hercules, California.
She was preceded by her parents Edna and Harold; a son, David Turner; and her brother Robert William Shirley.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 11:30 on Monday, November 11, 2024 at Parker-Price Cremations and Funeral Services, 245 NW Independence, Topeka Ks 66608. Funeral Services will begin at 11:30 am at the funeral home. Cremation will follow, inurnment in the Holton Cemetery will be held on a later date.
