Cheryl Ann McAdams, 65, of Talking Rock, Georgia, passed away peacefully in her home on April 12, 2024. She was born February 4, 1959, to Roy Walter McCarthy and Betty Ruth McCarthy (Gamble) in Warren, Ohio.
Cheryl married the love of her life, Morgan Garrett McAdams on November 22, 1996. Cheryl's skills in business, organization and being the "Boss" helped Morgan and Cheryl build a successful sign business together. Recently, they started cruising and traveling the world.
Cheryl would consider her greatest accomplishment to be her three beautiful daughters, Lori, Leigh Ann, and Jennifer. She encouraged her children to attend college and empowered them to be strong, independent women. She felt it was very important for them to find joy in everyday life.
She loved her grandchildren and took such joy in attending special events and making their birthday and Christmas' memorable with homemade and unique gifts. She made sure every detail in the wrapping of gifts was very special and unique.
She was devoted to supporting her community, specifically her local women's shelter with her homemade blankets, cards, and gifts. She also routinely supported her local senior centers, Toys for Tots programs, animal shelters and first responders by donating needed items, adopting pets, and baking her world-famous Christmas cookies. She was an avid gardener, a crocheter, and a lover of animals (especially cats).
Cheryl is best known for her strong will and tenacity, but she's also known for her caring heart for others. Cheryl lived a full life focused on family and supporting others.
All who loved her dearly will never forget her tenacity, wit, charm, and grace. She will be missed and forever in our hearts.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Morgan; three daughters, Lori (Ray) King of Jefferson, GA., Leigh Ann (Chad) Linn of Jefferson, GA., Jennifer (David) Scheller of Ball Ground, GA.; six grandchildren, Alexander Scheller, Eliza Linn, Savannah Bailey King, Brooke King, Sophia Linn, and Oliva Linn.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
