Christian Archer Whalen, beloved son, brother, friend and cherished member of the Spotsylvania County community, passed away in the early hours of September 1, 2024, at the age of 19. Born on October 7, 2004, In Fredericksburg, Christian's presence will be profoundly missed, but his magnetic personality, warm heart, and kind spirit will forever live in the hearts of his family and friends. Christian is survived and forever loved by his parents Thomas "Tom" Whalen and Shannon DiPeppe Whalen, his devoted younger sister, Haliegh Noel Whalen, who was known to be her brother's strongest supporter and steadfast protector. He is also survived by his grandparents, Archer DiPeppe and Robin DiPeppe; Uncles Joseph DiPeppe and Richard Gendron; Aunts Sara Alexander andDawn DiPeppe. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Thomas F. Whalen and Linda Whalen. Christian was full of life. Christian attended Chancellor High School, where he enjoyed and excelled at vocational classes, specifically welding. He was known for his keen interest in trucks, and his compassion for animals where he will be forever remembered as the one who'd bring home the stray or abandoned animals. Christian loved people and was a loyal friend. He had an ability to reach across different groups which is reflected in his large and diverse circle of friends. His sense of adventure, carefree view of life, and goofy sense of humor will remain as some of the most cherished memories to all who knew him. A memorial service honoring Christian's life will be held beginning at 12:00pm on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Agape Funeral Home in Fredericksburg, located at 2105 Emancipation Hwy., Fredericksburg, Va 22401, followed by interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
