Rush Springs: Christie Jo, 54, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2022 in Duncan.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at First Assembly of God, Rush Springs, with Rev. David Hale officiating. Burial will be in the Westview Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.
Visitation will be at Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs on Tuesday, 8:30 AM - 8:30 PM.
Christie was born Tuesday, August 13, 1968 in Pauls Valley, to George and Hattie "Jo" (Palmertree) Harrison. She was a graduate of Rush Springs High School. Christie lived in Grady County most of her life and she was employed by Duncan Regional Hospital. Christie enjoyed fishing, painting by numbers, camping, and going to the lake. She also enjoyed going for rides on her brother's motorcycle any time she was able. Christie's friends and family were most important to her, especially her grandkids, and she never missed an opportunity to spend time with them. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include son, Dakota Dennis and wife Kellee of Marlow; 2 daughters, Cayla Carpenter and husband Joy, and Christen Moore and husband Rick, both of Rush Springs; step-son, Devin Rios of Blanchard; step-daughter, Miranda Rios and wife Kenna of Rush Springs;12 grandchildren, Laykenn, Ty, April, Lilly, Paytin, Rose, Skylar, Caden, Mylee, Maverick, Emma, and Bennett; great-grandson, Silas; mother, Jo Laughlin; brother, Donnie Pyle and wife Diane of NM; 3 sisters, Debi Hail and husband Jimmy of Bray, Linda Choate, and Nikki Laughlin, both of Marlow; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, sister, Dena Jo, brother, Mitch Harrison, and her grandparents, Paul and Hattie Palmertree.
Pallbearers will be: Caden Moore, Dakota Dennis, Devin Rios, Rick Moore, Cody Meadows, and James Boyster.
