Christina Clare Hillenbrand, 74, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Monday, August 25, 2025 at Heart to Heart Hospice.
Christina was born in Evansville, Indiana on January 28, 1951 to the late Francis Henry and Dorothy Ann (Matthews) Hillenbrand. She worked as a driver at FedEx for 23 years and retired from AT&T Call Center after 5 years of service. Christina was a faithful member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church. She enjoyed working with children and volunteered her time at Tech of Southwestern Indiana. Christina was an avid reader of mystery books by her favorite author James Patterson. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Christina never met a stranger and effortlessly made friends wherever she went. She will be remembered as a loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend.
Christina is survived by her son, Fred Hillenbrand (Dani) of Evansville, IN; sisters, Connie Sokol (Richard) of Plantation, FL and Sister Ann Francis of Ferdinand, IN; brothers, Gerard "Gary" Hillenbrand of Evansville, IN, John Hillenbrand (Gabriella) of Irvine, CA, and Paul Hillenbrand (Joan) of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Triston Filippi (Toriana Rugani), Kierre Hillenbrand (Kendall), Taris Hillenbrand (Dillon Hammond) and Zaeden Hillenbrand; great-grandchildren, Zeiden, Zahmya, and Rowan; and many nieces and nephews.
Christina was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Joseph and Patrick Hillenbrand.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, August 29, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 6202 W. St. Joseph Rd., Evansville, IN 47720 with Father Gene Schroeder, Father Thomas Hillenbrand, and Father Zach Etienne celebrating.
Friends may visit from 2:00 pm until 6:30 pm on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 E. Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711, with a prayer service being held at 6:30 pm. Visitation will continue on Friday from 9:00 am until mass time at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sisters of St. Benedict, 802 E. 10th St., Ferdinand, IN 47532.
