Christine Virginia Panaciulli, 93, passed away peacefully May 14, 2016, surrounded by her family. 

She was born in West Virginia to the late Joseph and Theresa Croce, and lived in the Akron area most of her life. Christine was a member of St. Francis DeSales Parish and attended St. Matthew Catholic Church. She loved to bake and cook, especially for her family and enjoyed traveling. 

Preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Vito; sons, Vito (Ann), Mike (Julie); daughter, Gina (Randy) Gaug; grandchildren, Vito, Michael, Jessica, Erin, Jimmy, Sabrina and Sandra; six great grandchildren; sister, Lena (Jim) Marsh; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank Barb, of Home Instead for her loving care of Christine. 

Friends and family will be received Wednesday, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312 where a wake service will be held. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, 11 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 2580 Berne Street, Akron, Ohio 44312 with Father Michael Williamson presiding. Procession will form at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to St. Matthew Catholic Church.
