Christopher M. Barton Sr.

Christopher M. Barton, Sr., 53, of Columbia passed away on March 2, 2026. He was born in Lancaster to the late Michael Grove and Winifred Barton and was a lifelong resident of this area.

Christopher attended the Milton Hershey School and was a graduate of McCaskey High School with the Class of 1991. He worked in construction and was an avid UFC fan who also loved fishing. Christopher was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle who adored his family and treasured spending time with them.

Christopher leaves behind his wife of thirty-five years Christina Barton of Columbia; his son, Cameron Barton with his fiancé Jackie Crawford of Altoona; his daughter, Chelsea Barton of Columbia; two grandchildren, Leyna Good and Christopher Barton, III; a brother, Dustin, husband of Heather Ramsden of Charlotte, NC; three nephews, Shawn Smith, Donte Ramsden, and Aaron Ramsden; three beloved dachshunds, Marley, Diego, and Little Girl. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Christopher M. Barton, Jr.
