Christopher James Burton, 32, of Hamilton, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 in Hollywood, Florida. Born in Trenton, NJ, Chris had resided in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for the past 3 years.
Christopher loved to play football, he played for Nottingham High School where he still holds the record for the fastest receiver in the district. He went on to play for Citrus University in California. Chris was a fan of both the NY Giants and the NY Jets. He loved to work out.
Chris loved time spent with his family but most of all with his beloved son and namesake Christopher Jr.
Christopher is preceded in death by his brother David Burton.
Christopher is survived by his parents, Father James N. Burton and wife Judy, Mother Florence A. (Evert) Wood and Leon; Christina Torres mother to his son Christopher J. Burton, Jr.; his siblings, Jamie Williams and husband Gabriel, and Kurt Zitzler and Teressa; Nieces; Courtney, Kimberly, Julianna, Destiny, And Elizabeth. Nephews; Kurt Jr (Sonny), Axel, and Elijah. His cousin and best friend, Sean Evert who was more like a brother to him; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619.
Christian funeral services will follow at 7:30 PM at the funeral home officiated by Pastor O'Neill of Hope Presbyterian Church.
