Christopher Carroll Crites

Christopher C. "Carroll" Crites, age 85 of Seaman, passed away peacefully Monday evening, November 3, 2025 at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center. He was born on December 24, 1939 in Richwood, West Virginia, the son of the late Elmer C. and Audra (Frame) Crites. Carroll was a proud veteran of the United States Army and Unites States Air Force, having served during the Vietnam War. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by a son, Jeff (Christy) Crites of Hillsboro; three daughters, Helen (Rick) Glenn, of Seaman; Joyce Becker, of Cynthiana, Kentucky, and Pam (David) Chandler, of Decatur; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Carroll was preceded in death by his beloved wife Lois Ann Crites, who passed away May 17, 2021. They were married on September 15, 1959. He was also preceded in death by two sons, David Crites, and Donald Crites; and a daughter, Linda McMillan. Mr. Crites had nine sisters, Levonne, Virginia, Charlotte, Barbara, Rose, Sally, Kathy, Cindy and Loretta; and seven brothers, Larry, Allen, Jack, Leon, Robert, Denver and Don. Family and friends may pay their respects during visiting hours on Thursday evening, November 6, 2025, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Graveside funeral services with military honors presented by the Southwest Ohio VFW Memorial Team will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday November 7, 2025 at the Union Cemetery, Symmes Township in Loveland.
