Christopher Raymond Robbins, known affectionately as Chris, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2025, at the age of 69 in his native Kansas, surrounded by the soothing whispers of the plains he so deeply cherished. Born on Christmas Day in 1955, Chris's life was a celebration of quiet generosity, perpetual selflessness, and a delightful knack for all things hands-on that endeared him to all who had the pleasure of crossing his path.
Chris's early years were spent within the close-knit community of Holton, Kansas, where the foundations of his character were forged within the walls of Holton High School, from which he graduated in 1973. The lessons of his youth never left him, as he carried the values of hard work and integrity throughout his life. Chris's deep connection to his roots was ever-present, as he chose to remain in Kansas, the land that he loved and which formed the backdrop of his life's story.
A man who thrived under the open sky, Chris's passion for the outdoors was evident to all. His days were often spent with the sun on his face, riding his bike or walking the trails of Topeka, where he found solace and joy. His siblings, Tom, Donna, Elizabeth, and Bernadette, also survive him, each carrying forward the memories of a brother whose heart knew no bounds.
