Christopher "Shawn" Sly, 47, of Webbers Falls, OK, passed away on August 6, 2025, in Iraan, TX. He was born in Muskogee, OK, on November 18, 1977.

Shawn was a very special man, blessed with the love of two mothers. He was born to Raylene and Jack Yochum and lovingly raised by Gilda and Donald Sly. He attended school in Porter and Muskogee, making lifelong friendships along the way.

On November 18, 2009, Shawn met the love of his life, Heather Callison, and together they began a beautiful journey filled with love, family, and adventure. He was a devoted husband, dad, and grandpa whose greatest joy came from time spent with those he loved most.

Shawn built a career as a wind turbine technician, beginning with Global Wind Service in June 2020, and was most recently employed with Vestas Wind Solutions. He took pride in his work and enjoyed the challenges and travel his career offered.

He was preceded in death by his nephews, Colsen Girty, Adam Rogers, and James Rogers; his father, Don Sly; and his dad, Jack Yochum.

Shawn is survived by his loving wife, Heather Sly; his children, Christopher Joseph Girty, Hayleigh Dawn McCraw, Jaycee Rayne Locklear and Talon Marrs, Jaxton Colt Sly, and Grayson Lavan Sly; siblings, Sandy Lawrence and husband Nathan of Muskogee, Kim Phillips and husband Andy of Muskogee, Ronnie Shane and wife Krystal of Muskogee, Athena Plum of Bristow, Tammy Rogers of Muskogee, and Joe Tranthom of Muskogee; three granddaughters, Joelee (May) Girty of Warner, Remi Grace Girty of Warner, and Wrenley Rayne Marrs, expected January 9, 2026. He also shared a special brotherly bond with Jeremy Patterson and Izaya Hamilton, along with many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

A private viewing for the family will be held at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Green Valley Baptist Church in Webbers Falls. Memorial and cremation care is entrusted to Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home.
