Christopher Matthew "Chris" Speyrer

Christopher Matthew Speyrer, a native of Conyers, Georgia, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023, in Florida at the age of 41. He is survived by parents, Cheryl (Whitehead) and David Cooper and Fred and Diane Speyrer; Travis and Katrin Cooper and their daughter, Charlotte, Gavin Christopher Speyrer, Katie Alyssia Cooper, and grandmothers, Marjorie Whitehead and Almeda Cooper, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by grandparents, Anthony and Betty Speyrer, Walter Whitehead, and Jerry Cooper. Chris graduated from Shiloh High School. He joined the United States Army, where he was a highly decorated Specialist, and served two tours overseas, Iraq and Korea, and served in Special Ops Reserve. Chris loved his family and friends. He loved animals, especially his boxer, Buster, and volunteered at an animal shelter. He was the biggest fan of the Tampa Bay Lightning. He loved going to the gym to work out, riding his bike, taking beautiful pictures of nature, going to concerts, and listening to music. Funeral services will be held August 14, 2023 at Scot Ward's Green Meadow Chapel with Pastor Micah Lacey officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:30-4:30. Service at 4:30.
