Chy Kit

Chy Kit, born on August 12, 1950, in Cambodia, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2025, at Prisma Hospital in Greenville, SC, at the age of 74. His life was a testament to dedication, love, and resilience, inspiring all who knew him.
Chy spent his early years in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, where he developed his strong work ethic and compassion for others. He embarked on a career as an electrician in hospitals, a role that enabled him to serve countless individuals with selflessness and skill. His commitment to his work was only surpassed by his devotion to his family.
In 1979, Chy married the love of his life, Kimsreang. Together, they built a beautiful family and created a legacy of love and unity that will continue to inspire future generations. Chy is survived by his wife, Kimsreang; his daughter, Chantola Kit of Henrico, VA; his sons, Kimchean Kit and Choeun Kit, both of Hendersonville, NC; his cherished grandchildren, Hannah Choeun, Luna Choeun, Virtue Iem Kit, Justin Iem Kit, Tony Heng, Sophia Heng, and Sonita Heng; as well as his sisters, Ponh Ly of Phnom Penh of Cambodia.
Chy's life was rich with the love of his family, and he leaves behind a tapestry of fond memories, laughter, and lessons learned. He was a guiding light to his grandchildren and a source of wisdom and strength to his children.
Preceded in death by his parents, Chy's legacy will continue through the lives he touched and the family he adored. In honor of his wishes, private family gatherings will be held to celebrate his life and the profound impact he had on those around him.
Chy Kit's journey from Cambodia to North Carolina embodied the values of perseverance, love, and family. May his spirit continue to inspire us to cherish and uplift one another, just as he did throughout his remarkable life.
