Claire (McLaughlin) Connell, a lifelong resident of Stoneham, passed away with her loving family by her side on Monday, October 13, 2025. She was 83 years of age.
Born on Saturday, April 25, 1942 in Stoneham, Claire was the loving daughter of the late George B. McLaughlin and Florence (Webber) McLaughlin. Claire was a warm, gentle, kind and loyal daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Claire was the beloved wife of the late William P. Connell III. She was the devoted mother of Karen Primeau and her husband Bob, Terri Murphy and her husband Burt, William Connell IV, Jim Connell and his wife Kathy and Tricia Langill and her husband Ray. She was the cherished grandmother of Katelin Primeau, William Connell V, Kyle Murphy, Ashley Savard, Amy Connell, Georgia Connell, Patrick Langill, J.T. Connell and Brian Langill. Claire was a loving great grandmother of Adalynn Savard, Milo Savard, Asher Gilbert and Caspian Savard. She was the dear sister of William McLaughlin, Mary Balzano and Katherine Alexander.
Claire's most cherished moments were the times that she spent with her family, whether it was a BBQ celebrating a birthday, day trip adventures with her daughters, or Friday night football games to see her grandson's play, that is when she was the happiest.
Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Claire's Family on Sunday, October 19th from 2-6pm in the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main Street (RT 28) STONEHAM. Parking attendants and elevator are available.
A Funeral Service Celebrating Claire's Eternal Life will be held on Monday, October 20th at 10am in the Funeral Home. Interment Saint Patrick's Cemetery, Stoneham.
