It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lisa (Moran) Kent, a beloved sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, who left us at the age of 61.
Born on Wednesday, November 13, 1963 in Malden, Lisa is the loving daughter of Lucille (Webb) and the late John Moran. Lisa’s life was a testament to love, dedication, and unwavering optimism. She poured her heart into her family, shaping the lives of her three children with wisdom, warmth, and a tireless commitment to their growth.
From the early days of motherhood, Lisa was a constant presence in her children’s lives—serving as President of the St. Patrick’s Mothers Club, coordinating soccer games, and always ready with a helping hand for homework or a dose of practical life advice. Her influence extended far beyond the classroom and playing field; she nurtured her children into thoughtful, capable adults, and she never missed a chance to celebrate their achievements. She was very proud of their accomplishments and would not hesitate to let anyone know that: “My daughter graduated from Harvard,” “My youngest hiked the Appalachian Trail all by himself,” and “My middle son is a successful business owner who helps people.”
Lisa found joy in the simple pleasures of life—family vacations to Maine and New Hampshire, and later, adventures with her husband to Bermuda and Mexico. She was known for her infectious laughter, her good-natured spirit, and her ability to light up any room with her presence. Even in the face of hardship during her final years, Lisa remained resilient and hopeful, always looking forward to the next chapter with her loved ones.
Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the family she cherished. Lisa Kent will be remembered not only for the love she gave, but for the strength, humor, and grace with which she lived. She will be deeply missed and forever celebrated.
Lisa is the beloved wife of Philip Kent. She is the devoted mother of Amanda Kordosky and her husband Kevin, Steven Kent and his wife Gina Maisano, Sean Kent and her beloved Sir Joffrey of Middlesex County. The cherished grandmother of Keira Kordosky and Aidan Kordosky, Lisa is the dear sister of Susan Moran, Donna Moran, Kathleen Mascia and Lynn Neville. She is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Lisa’s Family on Thursday, October 9th from 4-7pm in the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main Street (RT 28) STONEHAM. Parking attendants and elevator are available.
