Claire M. Lewis

Claire M. Lewis, 81, of Carbondale, PA, entered into the arms of the Lord on Monday, October 20, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.
Born January 4, 1944 in Carbondale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Roger and Mildred (O'Connor) Heenan, and was educated in Carbondale public schools.
Claire lived life to the fullest. She retired from Gentex after more than 50 years of dedicated service. She enjoyed traveling, gathering with family for holidays, and her dinners at the Montdale Country Club. A breast cancer survivor, Claire took great pride in winning that battle.
A devoted Catholic, Claire carried her faith into everyday life and was known for giving prayer cards to anyone in need. She was generous in spirit and always willing to help those less fortunate.
She is survived by her devoted companion of more than 40 years, Joseph Zaccone; two brothers: Ray (Bea) Heenan of Texas and Pat (Judy) Heenan of Carbondale, PA; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was also preceded in death by sisters: Mary Heenan, Jane Tolerico and Marcella Smith; and brothers: Thomas, Jack, James, Roger and Joseph Heenan.
The funeral will be Saturday, October 25, 2025 from Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 89 Farview Street, Carbondale, PA, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. from Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook Street, Carbondale, PA. Entombment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA.
