Clara's life was marked by her steadfast commitment to her family and community. While supporting her husband, Billy Eugene Turner, during his Air Force service, she worked in various manufacturing roles. Later, she found her calling as a Certified Nursing Assistant at The Meadows, where she served with compassion until her retirement. A faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church, Claras faith guided her throughout her life.
An artist at heart, Clara found joy in creating pottery and artwork, bringing beauty to the world around her. She also cherished tending to her garden and nurturing her home, where she was a devoted homemaker to her sons and grandchildren. Her warmth and creativity left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Clara is survived by her children: Al (Terri) Turner of Fulton, Mike (Donna) Turner of Mantachie, David (Christy) Turner of Mantachie, and Mark (Susan) Turner of Mantachie; her grandchildren: Barry (Amanda) Turner, Jennifer (Joe) McGown, Brent (Amanda) Turner, Creston Turner, Arial Turner, Kelly (Greg) Dennis, C.M. (Jordan) Young, Alan Young, Amanda Turner, Brittany Turner, Samantha Turner, Lynn (Karye) McCord, and Josh (Madison) McCord; 28 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Wanda (Bill) Brooks and Sue Turner; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Billy Eugene Turner; her parents; her grandsons, Christopher Turner and Brandon Turner; her granddaughter, Jessica Turner; her brother, Rex Webb; and brothers-in-law, James Turner, Bobby Turner, and Jackie Turner; and sister-in-law, Eva Mencl.
A service to honor Claras life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Senter Funeral Home, with Bro. Billy Burleson officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, August 22, 2025, at Senter Funeral Home. Burial will be at Friendship Methodist Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Barry Turner, Brent Turner, Lynn McCord, Josh McCord, Creston Turner, and Jacob Turner.
Claras legacy of love, creativity, and care will live on in the hearts of her family and community.
