Claude "C.T." Terrell Garrett, Jr., 78, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on November 11, 1946, in Abilene, Texas, to Claude Garrett, Sr., and Exer (McGlaun) Garrett, C.T. lived a life marked by dedication, hard work, and service to others.
After earning his bachelor’s degree, C.T. embarked on a distinguished career as an engineer in the railroad industry. Beyond his professional accomplishments, he was a proud and active member of the Knights of Pythias, dedicating his time to giving back to his community. In his retirement years, C.T. found joy in the simple pleasures of life, tending to his garden and riding his tractor on sunny days.
C.T. is survived by his devoted wife, Sandra (Hicks) Garrett of Weatherford, Texas; his sons and daughters-in-law, Seth and Deanna Garrett and Terry and Angie Garrett; eight cherished grandchildren; three beloved great-grandchildren; and his brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Sharon Garrett. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend whose kindness and wisdom left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
To celebrate and honor C.T.’s life, a visitation will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 North Elm Street, Weatherford, Texas. Friends and family are invited to gather and share stories of the remarkable man who touched so many lives.
A graveside service will take place on Monday, December 16, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., at Annetta Cemetery, in Aledo, Texas.
C.T.’s legacy of love, dedication, and service will forever be treasured by his family, friends, and community.
