Claudia Leggett Ogden, 86, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2025, a longtime resident of Chesapeake. She was born in Norfolk, VA on December 24, 1938. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family immensely and loved making memories with them.
Claudia was predeceased by her parents, Herbert and Eunice Leggett, and sister, Jane Swinson. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 62 years; Neal Ogden, children; Cam and Therese Ogden, Laura and Mike Setliff. She was affectionately known as "Mamoo" by her grandchildren; Casey (Troy), Derec (Jazmine), Spencer, Jakeb (Taylor), special niece; Lorie Jane.
Claudia graduated from Oscar F. Smith High School in 1957. She was a member of South Norfolk Congregational Christian Church. After high school, she began her career at the telephone company where she met several lifelong friends along the way. In her younger days, she enjoyed boating on Sundays, but not before Sunday School. She also enjoyed visiting family in Michigan and going on cruises with Neal, her sister and brother-in-law.
Up until her last day, she would tell everyone she was doing great and reminded us that she was still "The Boss".
Friends are invited to a public visitation on Monday, January 13, 2025, from 6-8 PM, at Graham Funeral Home, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake, VA. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, January 14, at 11 AM, also at the funeral home with Pastor Amos Eby officiating.
