Clifton Anthony "Cap" Pittman, 56 years old, of Pampa, Texas, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2024, in Pampa. He was born in Lefors, Texas.
Being reared in Lefors, Cap graduated in May of 1986 from Lefors High School. Then as a young couple in love, Cap and Mary Vick found themselves standing in front of a JP exchanging wedding vows on March 22, 1997. He had worked as a Railroad Engineer for BNSF for 21 ½ years before retiring.
As an outgoing youngster, Cap found solace in hunting, fishing, watching football and even dancing, however, as time has its effect on us all, he reevaluated his priorities and finding that he was a true family man through and through, realized his time was best spent hangin' with his grandkids or merely sitting and conversating with family.
Often times, Cap could be described as outspoken, maybe a little on the loud side, a bit hardheaded, a wee bit stubborn and possibly even a pain, but on the flipside of those quirks, he was the most loving, compassionate, selfless and understanding soul some knew. He loved to make others laugh, not only to see the laughter on their faces, but also in their eyes. His tender love and stubbornness will be greatly missed!
He was greeted into eternity by his beloved grandmother, Geneva Lisenbee.
His memories will forever be cherished by his wife, Mary Pittman of Pampa; his mother, Charlene Lisenbee Lane of Lubbock; three children, Brittany Bertrand and husband Michael, Joleen Vanderploeg and husband Gerben, Dreyton Pittman all of Pampa; six grandchildren, Kloie, Joslin, Avery Bradford, Madyson Bertrand, Brinlee Bertrand, and McKaeleigh Bertrand.
Cap will be available to pay final respects from 10am until 8pm on Friday, July 12th at Winegeart Funeral Home.
Celebration of Life Graveside Services are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Lefors Memorial Heights Cemetery with Pastor James Gee officiating. The family has entrusted the care of their loved one to Winegeart Funeral Home. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Clifton Anthony "Cap" Pittman, please visit our Tree Store.
