Clinton Kenneth Searle peacefully returned to his heavenly home January 6, 2026 at the age of 83.
Clinton was born June 13, 1942 to Kenneth Daniel Searle and Dora June Law Jackson Searle in Logan Ut. He was baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints December 2, 1950 by Elder Deakin. Clint enjoyed playing the clarinet, singing in choirs, participating in musicals, and building model trains before graduating from Davis High School and seminary.
He earned a BA degree in microbiology from Weber State University and was part of the Army ROTC. He served a Spanish speaking mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Texas. He served 2 years as 1st Lieutenant in the US Army, one year honorably serving in Vietnam earning a purple heart. He completed a master’s degree upon return at Utah State University and was a member of Delta Phi Kappa fraternity.
Clint was a kind and positive person always finding the good in everyone. He passionately loved model trains and square dancing throughout his life. He was an amazing father and husband. He held many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints including serving as a temple worker for many years, first in the Ogden Temple and later in the Brigham City Temple. He set an example of gospel living and a love for the scriptures to those around him. He had a strong love for his family and his Savior Jesus Christ.
Clint suffered from Alzheimer’s during his later years. His last years were spent enjoying time at TreeO Senior Living Center in South Ogden then at his Step Son's home in Washington Terrace Utah.
Preceded in death by his wife Carmi Aileen Searle and step grand daughter Emmalynn Herbstritt.
Clint is survived by his wife Lorraine Hardy Searle, daughter Tedi Searle, step children Wendy Plewe, Misty Herbstritt, April Jones, Autumn McDonald, Russell Armstrong, and step grandchildren Hannah Plewe, Leah Allen, David Plewe, Maggie Plewe, Lizzie Plewe, Bentley Herbstritt, Audrey Herbstritt, Andrew Jones, Benjamin Jones, Evan Jones, Caleb Jones, Jacob Jones, Brock McDonald, Raylynn McDonald. Ryker McDonald, Connor Armstrong, Tristan Armstrong, Elanor Armstrong, and Lily Armstrong
Funeral services will be held Monday January 12, 10:30 AM at 125 East 5350 South Ogden, Utah 84405 with a graveside dedication at the Brigham City Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Monday January 12 from 9-10 AM prior to the funeral services at the church.
