It was there that he met Susan Boner at a church service in the cafe led by Pastor Harold Schoke. They became best friends and fell in love. She stayed by his side in sickness and health to the very end.
Pastor Schoke made arrangements for Clyde to be transported to Calvary Tabernacle April 28, 2019 to be baptized. He is now a resident at Greenwood Health Care Center. He will be officiating the Celebration of Life on Sunday, August 24, 2025.
He was born on April 22, 1948 in Franklin, Kentucky to parents Lester and Ruth Fisher George. He grew up in Tennessee and graduated from White House High School in 1967. He moved to Indiana in 1968 where he worked for Kerr McGee for many years.
He was preceded in death by his wife Darlene Gayheart George, parents Lester George and Ruth George Summers and sister Linda George.
He is survived by his daughter Melinda George of Fortville, IN,
sister Debbie Bolton (Harold) of Gallatin, TN and brother Gary George (Kathleen) of Portland, TN.
The Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 24, 2025 at 3:00 pm. The address is 377 Westridge Blvd., Greenwood, IN.
Flowers and donations may be sent in care of Greenwood Health Care Center where Clyde was loved and well taken care of for the past six years.
