Kent Hatch, age 81, passed on April 11 after a 15-year Alzheimer's battle. Kent was born on September 1, 1943, the sixth of ten children to Clyde and Mabel (Carlson) Hatch in Range, WI. He attended Clayton High School, graduating in 1961. Kent enlisted in the Navy and served as a Corpsman from June 1961-October 1964. He attended Dunwoody College of Technology in the HVAC program, becoming a journeyman in 1969. He continued in that trade until retirement in 2004. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, pickleball, gardening and time with family. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary (Riesgraf), son Tim (Mary) Hatch, son Greg Hatch (Terry Kogan), daughter Alison (Chad) Heltemes. Grandchildren Isaac, Caleb, Emma Hatch; Andrew, Lucas, Lauren Heltemes; Wolfe, Keiran Glaeser; Nate (Anna), Greg Kogan; Great grandchildren David, Miriam Kogan.
Sisters Donnamae Rychly, Darlene Tarman, and brothers Gerald (Dodie), Roger (Jill), Lee (Judy), Miles (Randy), Doug (Steph), and Bruce (Rainy) Hatch and sister-in-law, Cathy Hatch. Preceded in death by parents and brother Ronald. Visitation at Huber Funeral Home in Mound, MN. on Sunday 4/27 from 3-7 p.m. and at Bethel United Methodist in Mound on Monday, 4/28 from 10:30-11:30 a.m.; immediately followed by a worship service. A celebration of his life will follow the worship service at Gillespie Center in Mound. Private interment at Fort Snelling at a later date.
Memorials suggested to Alzheimer's Association and Trouvaille Memory Care Suites.
