In Loving Memory:
Celebrating the Life of
Clyde Leon Williams
Clyde Leon Williams, 68 of Winter Park, Florida departed this life on July 7, 2025. Clyde began his earthly journey on September 28, 1956 in Brunswick, Georgia. He was born to the late Clyde Williams and Jessie Jackson Williams. The family later moved to Pensacola, Florida where his father was stationed at the Naval Air Station.
Clyde began his education at Judy Andrews Elementary School in Warrington, grades one through three. He then attended St. Jospeh Catholic School for the remainder of his primary and junior high school years. Clyde attended Pensacola Catholic High School and graduated in 1975. He was an exceptional student. While in school, Clyde ran track. He was a natural talent. He ran the 220, 440, mile relay, and occasionally the 100. His speciality was the 440 where he excelled. He was one of the best in the area. After high school, Clyde attended Pensacola State College. Later on, he attended the University of West Florida where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science.
Later, Clyde joined the Air Force and was stationed in Madrid, Spain where he met Mercedes Cristobal. They later married. To this union were born two daughters, Natalie Belen and Cristina Renee. After his military service, Clyde moved back to Pensacola where he worked for the Department of Children and Family Services.
Clyde had deep faith in God and often attended church services. Clyde was a people's person. He had charisma and knew how to connect with people. As a father, he instilled in a belief that life is a continuous, balanced effort of love, adventure, self-examination, grace, hope, and vivacity. He will be remembered for his caring personality, thoughtfulness, kind heart, and the way he made people laugh.
Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Gussie L. Brown, and his brother, James A. Babar. Left to cherish his memories are three daughters, Natalie (Donn) Milton of Pensacola, Florida, Cristina (Kevin) Johnson of Pensacola, Florida and Latadra Layton of Pensacola, Florida, two brothers, Elder Claude L. (Esther), his twin brother of Pensacola, Florida, Cleveland Johnson of Rodeo, California, one sister, Gloria Faye King of Dallas, Texas, and six grandchildren, Belen, Emanual, Kaylen, Kya, Vinci and Layton, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and a host of friends, classmates, and well wishes.

To the family of Clyde Williams, I will be praying for strength and peace during this time of grieving. Claude, you know how close Clyde and I were back in the day . I would even go to St Joseph Catholic Church with you all and Ms Jesse. I miss her as well and sorry I was living out of town during her passing and couldn't make her homegoing
service. Please know you all be in my heart forever and I love you all.
Sincerely,
Velerie Belle
