Cody Lane Byers, 32, of Tuttle, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully April 21, 2025. Cody was a devoted husband, father, son and dear friend.
Cody was known for his brilliance and dedication to his work and family. He had an infectious sense of humor with his "Joker Smile."
Cody grew up in Bethany, Oklahoma, graduating Bethany High School in 2011. He started his 13-year career right out of high school as a Diesel Technician to later becoming a Senior Electrolyzer Field Service Engineering Specialist. Cody was a history buff and had the opportunity with his training to travel to Belgium and visit several WWII historical sites.
From a young age, Cody loved working with his hands, creating and fixing everything. He was the "go-to" family member for everything from fixing your car or something in your home and if you wanted "The Cody" Consumer Report on what you should buy. He had just started a small business selling his candles and goat milk soap in a local store.
Cody was recently baptized and had started attending Tuttle First Church of the Nazarene. He was a proud father of two small children, Hannah, 10, and Daniel, 23 months. He loved and adored his children.
Cody is survived by his wife, Kassandra; two children, Hannah and Daniel; parents, Ryan and Meleaia Kerr; father, Shannon Byers; grandparents, Marion and Wanda Yeats; great-grandmother, Oleta Kerr; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Ashlyn Byers; niece, Rose; grandmother, Linda Byers Jones; great-grandparents, Neil and Ruth Ezell and Eric and Alice Yeats; and his uncle, Stanley Ezell.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, April 25, 2025, 10:00am at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service Chapel in Bethany, Oklahoma.
A graveside service will be held at Cody's final resting place in McKendree Cemetery in Subiaco, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a Go Fund Me account for his children (see link under the Donations heading below).
