Colette Irene Bither- 08/22/1991-10/17/2024
On August 30, 1991, Harry and I brought a very tiny 8-day old bundle of energy home to join our large family on our little farm, Colette Irene (AKA Bebbie) became part of our family. Her older brothers and sisters, Cindi, Harry, Tammy, and Nettie were out finding their way in life and Tim and Ted were close to following. Colette became a special part of our younger family: Jason, Robbie, Rachelle, Alexa, Art, and Lloyd came soon after; Jeremiah came along later. She was loved so much by everyone, and so everywhere she went for the next 33 years that love just grew. Although Bebbie was born with Spina Bifida, Hydrocephalies and other medical issues, she never allowed it to define who she was or what dreams she had! She was tiny when born and stayed very small throughout her life; she never knew a stranger or anyone she didn't like!
She was a great sister and friend to everyone and worked hard to keep up with her brothers. She loved to shave Arty, bugging Lloyd, and know everything about Jeremiah's needs in diabetes and seizures. She just loved helping everyone- Bebbie loved life and had a smile that lite up the room. She chose to see the world as a grand adventure, with unlimited opportunities.
She loved to sing and dance and knew the words to all the country music songs. Bebbie loved the summers of Mosquito Serenade, and sang all across this country. Her, mom, Lloyd and Jeremiah traveled in their small city bus back and forth across the country many times; Branson, Missouri and Nashville, Tennessee were her favorites. While in either place, Bebbie always seemed to find a country music star to sing with and she even sat in the middle of the stage at the Grand Ol' Opry House. Her favorite song, since the 3rd grade, was "God Bless the USA" by Lee Greenwood, and often sang it.
Although she traveled all around the United States, Hawaii was always on her bucket list. In high school, she took Careers with Children classes and volunteered at the local elementary school.
Covid was a barrier for a while, but she was back volunteering with the kids she loved. While at AUHS, Colette was a member of the Anderson FFA, where she took a pig to the fair. She was great with kittens, not so much with the pig! When Kent's Market bought it, her thank you note said she "hoped they liked the pig better than she did".
Colette was an Ambassador for the Make-a-Wish Foundation, and a cheerleader and life coach to those with Spina Bifida along with their families. She spoke to people all around the world through her Facebook page "Living my life with Spina Bifida". It was through this page she met and helped people all around the world; bringing information, compassion, and a new point of view about all the possibilities in life.
For a new baby the doctors said would not amount to much in life and wouldn't know how to live- oh how incredibly wrong they were! Colette loved life and would want every family to enjoy their children with a disability or not!! She believed every person is a gift from God and very special, and anyone could do anything if given a chance and support to try!
Colette was loved by so many people and she will be sorely missed by all. She is survived by her mom, Karen, and her many brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews. She was blessed to be loved by two families, who will miss her very much. She was preceded in death by her dad Harry, brother Jason
and sisters Rachelle and Alexa.

Colette always was a lover for music especially country. Whether is was Lance Cornwell, Chad Bushnell or me she would always come to our shows and root us on sometimes we would bring a mic down to her so she could sing with us. She was not only our biggest fan but we were hers to.
