Judith Knaeble Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel - Palo Cedro on Apr. 2, 2024.
Judith "Judy" Ann Knaeble, born January 18, 1944, in Iowa, passed away March 15, 2024, at the age of 80. Judy grew up in Anderson, CA with her parents Edward and Luella (Pat) Harmon as an only child. She was a 1962 graduate from Anderson Union High School, and while in high school she met her life-long love, David Knaeble. Married October 14, 1961, together they loved and cherished their four children: three daughters and one son.
When they all were in school, Judy began her long and accomplished career with the Anderson Union High School District in the Food Service Department. She began with a part time job in the kitchen helping out where needed, then advanced to be the head cook all the way to earning the position of food service manager, overseeing all the high schools in the district. Her hard work and dedication to the job and to her staff paid off in many ways. Judy retired in 2008 after 29 years with the district. She strived to have a positive impact on all students and adults that
walked through 'her' cafeteria doors.
Judy spent her retirement enjoying her time with David, her children and grandchildren. She and David would enjoy a good game (or four) of cribbage each morning over a cup of coffee. They never missed a morning, all the way up until her love passed away on March 4, 2016. Judy continued to find joy and happiness with her family, especially as it continued to grow with more great grandchildren. So many fond memories as she played on the floor with them coloring, tea parties, Legos, playing store, and so many adventures. When she wasn't with family, she loved spending time with her friends playing Bingo at the Frontier Senior Center and meeting them for breakfast sharing cherished memories and laughter.
Judy is survived by her children: Tracy Evans, her husband Clint from Shingletown; Frank Knaeble, his wife Stephanie from Bella Vista; Jackie Titus, her husband Rich from Gerber; Karen Hoffman, her husband Dan from Escondido; nine grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren.
A chapel service will be held at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Igo, Thursday April 11th at
11:00 a.m. The celebration of life will continue at 12:30 p.m. at the Knaeble family home: 20115 Sylvia Lane, Redding, CA 96002. Arrangements were made through Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Palo Cedro. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to one of Judy's designated charities:
