Colette Schembri

Colette Schembri, 55 of Monroe Township, New Jersey passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at Jersey Shore Acute Rehab in Neptune, NJ.
Born Wednesday, September 24, 1969, in New Brunswick, NJ, Colette was the daughter of the late Charles and Marie Schembri.
Colette was raised in Old Bridge, NJ and was a graduate of Madison Central High School. Colette had a 25-year career working at the Old Bridge Public Library as a Library Aide.
Colette attended Camp ROBIN in Old Bridge and was a member of the East Brunswick Elks. Colette loved singing Karaoke, laughing, and dancing. More than anything Colette loved being surrounded by her loving family and she will be deeply missed by all those that love her.
Colette was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Marie.
Colette is survived by her loving sisters, Marie Pavelchak and her husband Alan, Cindy McLavish and her husband Dominick, by her nieces and nephews; Carly and Justin Tillman, Michael and Madelyn Pavelchak, Alex and Santina McLavish, Sam Pavelchak and Rachel Stanislawczyk, Bailey McLavish and Brian Troemel. She is also survived by many cousins, friends, and her EIHAB family.
The family will receive friends from 4:00PM to 8:00PM on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals & Cremation Services Inc., located at 111 Main Street, Matawan, New Jersey 07747.
A Funeral service will be held at 10:00AM on Friday January 24, 2025 at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals & Cremation Services Inc. located at 111 Main Street Matawan, New Jersey 07747. Interment will be in St. Gertrude's Cemetery, located at 53 Inman Ave, Colonia, NJ 07067.
