Colleen Litt Obituary

While raising children, Colleen was a homemaker and a vital role in LeRoy Litt Trucking of Fredericktown, Ohio. During this time, she will be remembered for being able to quickly prepare meals, welcome others into her home and provide comfort to those she entertained. Later on, she worked for 14 Years with FedEx as a delivery driver. During retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing Bingo and cards, specifically 'hand and foot'. She was an avid sports lover and a loyal Buckeyes fan. She volunteered at Knox Community Hospital, where she enjoyed meeting new people and seeing old friends.
Colleen's warmth, compassion, and joyful spirit will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was a strong, determined and fiercely independent woman which remained true to her final days.
She leaves behind a family that loved her dearly: her daughters, Margaret (Gary) Rowe and Vickie (Bob) Matheny; grandchildren Travis (Jessie) Rowe, Ashlee (Nate) Armstrong and Lindsey Matheny. Great grandchildren: Jaret and Olivia Armstrong. Niece: Judy (Mike) Moore and Nephew: Jerry Steele and many other family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her siblings: Wynona (Gus) Steele, Calvin, Kenny, Ellen and Chuck Kempton and her beloved son, Raymond Litt.
Special thanks to the wonderful staff at Danbury of Mount Vernon and Gentiva Hospice who provided invaluable care and compassion to Colleen.
A graveside service will be held at Forest Cemetery in Fredericktown on Thursday, October 31, 2024, beginning at 2pm with Pastor Ruth Douglas officiating. A celebration of life will be held following the service at Mazza's to honor her memory.
Memorial contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice of Mount Vernon in honor of Colleen Litt.
