Colleen Irene Reynolds, 74, passed away peacefully in Bedford, New Hampshire in the early morning hours of October 27, 2024 with her loving husband of 28 years, Brett Reynolds, by her side and surrounded by family and friends. Colleen was born on December 27, 1949 to her late parents Phyllis McDermott (Scott) and Arthur McDermott, and John Keenan. She was predeceased by her beloved older brother Scott Keenan.
Colleen loved life itself but first and foremost she loved her children, family and all those she welcomed into her life. She was often the life of the party, outgoing, fun, funny, happy, planned events and places to go and things to do and invited everyone to go with her. Some of her favorite things in life included roller skating, Christmas, Salisbury Beach, dancing, Saint Lucia, water skiing, photography, Topsfield Fair, Halloween, kids, ice skating, running and sewing. She always took the time to do thoughtful things for everyone some of which included making blankets and corn bags, taking pictures of everyone and teaching others how to roller skate.
She was born and raised in Lowell, Massachusetts, then lived nearby in Tyngsborough for many years until she married Brett in 1996 and moved to Hudson, New Hampshire in 1998 where they both lived happily until she needed assisted living in 2019 and moved to The Arbors of Bedford in Bedford, New Hampshire. Colleen graduated from Lowell High School in 1966 where she was also a Girl Officer.
She leaves behind three daughters; Michelle Lenzi (Arsenault), Suzanne Clerge (Arsenault) and Colleen Reese (Arcand), five grandchildren; Fallyn Fournier (Lenzi), Cody Lenzi, Kyle Clerge, Ezekiel Reese and Olivia Reese and three great-grandchildren; Ava Fournier, Thea Fournier and Eleanor Lenzi as well as her siblings; Shirley Keenan, Kelly Keenan, Michael McDermott, Thomas McDermott, Tracy McDermott, Arthur McDermott Jr., Christopher McDermott, her many nieces and nephews and her unofficially adopted son Fletcher Darcy and his daughter Faye of Saint Lucia.
SERVICES: There will be a memorial service on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 10am with reception beginning at 9am at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH 03104.
Many of The Arbors staff genuinely loved and cared for Colleen over the nearly 5 years she was there and we came to regard them as family. In remembrance of Colleen please consider donating to The Arbors holiday fund where all proceeds go to bonuses given directly to staff. Checks should be made out to “Benchmark Associate Holiday Fund” and mailed to The Arbors of Bedford, Attention: DBA, 70 Hawthorne Drive, Bedford, NH 03110.
