Connie Gadient Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory (43rd St. Chapel) - Bradenton on Jan. 8, 2026.
Connie Sue Gadient, a spirited soul known for her loving kindness, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026, in Bradenton, Florida. She was born on October 10, 1958, in Davenport, Iowa, to Walter and Joyce (Sweeney) Hueser. Connie's infectious laughter and generous spirit were a gift to all who knew her.
Connie was married to the love of her life, Gary Gadient, on June 15, 2002. He shared his love for the Iowa Hawkeyes with her, and together they built a life filled with affection, joy, and devotion. Connie's life was marked by an unwavering dedication to the people and passions she loved.
Her career in the hospitality industry spanned many years, and she brought her signature warmth and exceptional managerial skills to her role as a Bar Manager. Connie had a rare gift for making everyone feel welcome, and her presence brightened every room she entered.
Music was the soundtrack to Connie's life. Whether listening to the radio or enjoying a piano bar, she embraced every note with joy. Her love for the Iowa Hawkeyes football team was equally fervent. Watching the games, she wasn't just a fan-she was part of a community, sharing every high and low of the season alongside fellow supporters.
Connie's social calendar was always full, as she loved dining out and catching live bands with friends. She was the life of every party, especially the community gatherings at her condo complex, where she was a central figure. Connie's presence was a signal that fun and laughter were sure to follow, and many will remember her for the happiness she brought to these events.
The pool was another of Connie's happy places, often enjoyed alongside her girls who shared her love for the water and the Florida sunshine. These moments, full of laughter and companionship, will remain treasured memories for all who shared them.
To say Connie was spirited is an understatement. She approached each day with a zest for life that was truly inspiring. Her loving nature made her a confidante and friend to many, and her kindness was a beacon that drew people to her. Connie's legacy is one of love, laughter, and an indomitable spirit that touched every part of her life.
As we bid farewell to Connie Sue Gadient, we celebrate the memories she leaves behind, the lives she touched, and the enduring light of her spirit. Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew her, but her legacy will continue to inspire all who loved her. Connie's life was full of joy, friendship, and love, and she will forever be remembered with fondness and affection.
Connie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gary Gadient, "My Love," as she wrote on all their cards to one another; her father, Walter Hueser; her brother, Mike Hueser; her sister, Rose "Bea" Matkovich; and her brother-in-law, John Justin.
Survivors left to honor her memory include her mother, Joyce Hueser; her sisters, Kathy Justin and Sandy (Gary) Hancock; her brother-in-law, Jim Matkovich; her son, Jeremy (Deena) White; her step-daughters, Stephanie (John) Overstake and Monica (James) Prickett; her grandchildren, Travis (Alyssa) White, Tevyn White, Alexis (Montana) White, Mackenzie White, Anderson Prickett, and Peyton Prickett; five great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, and many, many friends.
